About The Caring Connections Network

You should also know these things about the Caring Connections Network:

  • We were co-founded by a working mom who was diagnosed with breast cancer

  • We are a 'for-profit' organization that makes a contribution to a roster of cancer and health related organizations for every product and service we sell

  • We are overseen by a Board of Advisors comprised of doctors, nurses, health workers, working and stay-at-home moms, business people, designers, managers and others. They review our policies, service offerings, organizational recipient list and objectives.

  • Our Caring Connections pages are viewable to anyone with Internet access. A greater level of privacy to your Caring Connection is available with our Bronze and Gold packages, but we cannot and do not offer that your pages will be completely private. Information about you, however, such as your email address and credit card information are secure and will not ever be sold, traded, bartered or in any other way shared with a third party.

How the Caring Connections Network Operates

CaringConnectionsNetwork.org is the easiest way available to stay in touch with all your family and friends.

  • With CCN you don't have to build your own web pages to take advantage of the service.

  • All you need to know is how to send and receive an email and, if you want pictures on your webpage, you need to know how to attach a picture to the emails you send.

  • Once your Caring Connections Profile is received (which you complete during the order process) a Caring Connections page is created for you. Then just send update emails and pictures to service@CaringConnectionsNetwork.org.

  • Within 36 hours, usually much sooner, the content of your email will be checked for spelling, punctuation and language and posted by date to the Journal section of your Caring Connection. Likewise, your digital pictures will be sized and posted to the Picture Album section. Response time for posting of pictures and updates vary since every page, email and picture is handled personally by our page crafters.

  • You will find more detail about Caring Connections when you review the Terms and Use page during the online order process.

Who Can Benefit From A Caring Connections Network Membership

The Caring Connections Network was created to provide people with serious illnesses an easy, supportive way to keep their loved ones up-to-date on their health status. The following questions and answers can help you decide whether membership is right for you.

Question:  Do you have to be incapacitated to have or benefit from a Caring Connections membership?

Answer:     Absolutely not. Whether you have a large or small circle of family and friends, if handling dozens of phone calls and emails seem to be too much to handle at the moment, you may well benefit from a membership?

Question:  Do you have to have cancer to become a member?

Answer:     Though the Caring Connections Network was co-founded by a cancer patient and many members are fighting cancer, one does not have to have cancer to be a member. Any illness that makes it difficult for you to keep in touch with your circle of family and friends "qualifies" you as a candidate for a membership.

Question:  How do I determine which level of service is right for me?

Answer:     There are 3 questions you should answer when determining which service level to choose.

1.  How many updates per week would you like to post? If you enjoy corresponding and keeping your family & friends up-to-the-minute, you should probably sign up for the Copper or Gold level service which allows you 4 and unlimited updates per week respectively.

2. How extensive is your circle of family and friends? The larger your circle of family and friends, the higher the level of service you should choose since it provides for more frequent updates and offers more space for pictures sent in by you and your family and friends.

3.  What level of contribution do I want to make to a cancer research or awareness organization through my membership? The Caring Connections Network makes a 10% contribution to a cancer-related organization for every membership.
