WAYS TO SUPPORT CCN

If you've been visiting the Caring Connections Network you may have wished for ways to become more involved. If so, here are the 8 top ways you can help us grow and "give back."
  1. Purchase a Caring Connection webpage for your family member or loved one. If you know someone with cancer or another serious illness, consider buying them a Gift Connection. Our Create A Caring Connection online system makes it easy. Click here to visit and start giving.

  2. You can now make a direct cash or credit card contribution to the Caring Connections Network. A full 10% of your contribution will go to our current Donations Partner. For more details, click here.

  3. Shop-- at the Caring Connections Network web shop. That's right, shopping here is a great way to "give back" since a percentage of anything you buy through our store links will go to cancer related organizations. We have over a dozen stores to choose from now including Target and Walmart and more stores are added every week. Consider doing all your Christmas gift and card shopping by clicking a link on our shopping page. Click here to start shopping.

  4. Tell your family and friends about the Caring Connections Network. Almost anyone with cancer or another debilitating illness can benefit from sharing in the services and support systems that the Caring Connections Network offers. Send them an email or call them up to tell them about www.caringconnectionsnetwork.org. Click here for a pre-formatted email. Just insert the address of your family member or friend and add a message.

  5. Volunteer! The Caring Connections Network is looking for volunteers for web research, web monitoring, envelope stuffing and other tasks that will help us grow and give back. If you're interested click here to send us an email.

  6. Comment! Many people visit our members' Caring Connections pages and stay online to browse the site and maybe do a little shopping. If you're one of those people, and you have comments, criticisms or ideas for the site, let us know. Soon we'll have a Network Guest Book in place where you can leave your messages, but for now, let us know by clicking here to send us an email.

  7. Browse the site! If you only visit members' Caring Connections pages, consider browsing a bit. We offer services and resources you may not be aware of. Click any one of the following to get to know and support the Caring Connections Network: SHOP, ABOUT CCN, HEALTH LINKS, INSPIRATIONS and more.

  8. Come back often! The Caring Connections Network is growing, changing and maturing. There something new each week. Come back regularly to check our services, shops and tools.

  9. To make a credit card donation and get a 'free' CCN cap. For all the details, click here.

  10. To make a direct credit card donation, click here.

Be aware the payment services for the Caring Connections Network are administered by our web services provider, CRAIG VIDEO. Therefore charges on your credit card will appear as charges by CRAIG VIDEO COMMUNICATIONS, INC.

When my sister Donna and her husband Tom told me the news, Donna had stage Four Breast Cancer I was in shock.

Like the rest of my family it was more than heart felt. It was tragic and life altering for me as a sister. I remember very clearly feeling protective and thinking that very day, how can this news be shared with others while all these feelings and emotions were going on in our heads and hearts.

Although my wonderful brother-in-law Tom took the bull by the horn and started calling Donna's close friends to relieve Donna of the emotional duty to do it herself (she has many friends and all are very important to my sister) we needed a system.

Caring-Connections has really given not only my sister Donna a way to communicate to us, her family and friends during her battle with cancer. It also was a system that created privacy for Donna, her family and for people like me, her sister and care-taker when Tom was not available. It has made the emotional journey a little easier for me and has really opened up a helping informational center for others  who have "heard about the site" and are fighting cancer themselves.

What a wonderful way to connect!  My sister said it best when she said "People need People" the Internet is a great gift for families who are going through similar situations. I believe it has helped in her fight by providing her with support every step of the way.

It's like someone holding your hand during the journey in a very private yet continuous way!

Where should I begin ????   For as long as I remember it has been a struggle for me to have the strength I needed in difficult situations.

It was not out of the lack of concern, but not really knowing when it was a "good" time to call.....will they be feeling ok to talk now???

What if they're not home and I'll have to leave a message... Never really knowing what to say but wanting to let them know you love them and you're thinking of them and anything they need...you will be there.

Donna's website has given that to me...it's given me the "OK" to write when I can, to send a funny picture or just to let her know I'm here for her...always !

I want to thank you for that Donna....what a wonderful gift you have given us all. Your website gives me the strength I need to be strong for you !!!!!

We love you and know the support you receive everyday makes you that much stronger .

Love Lisa H
